This month’s Pride of ASU is Victoria Galvan. Victoria is a junior studying Early Childhood Education from Big Lake Texas. She is a part of Student Government, Kappa Pi Delta, and serves as the President for the Texas Classroom Teacher Association at ASU.

How did you learn about ASU? I learned about Angelo State University because a few of my family members and friends attended this wonderful University. They said that it is a wonderful University, and they were not lying.
Why did you want to attend ASU? I wanted to attend Angelo State University because I loved how everyone made me feel like I belonged here. I also love the campus and the professor to student ratio.
What is your favorite thing about ASU? My favorite thing about Angelo State University would be the relationships that students can build with their professors.
What are some of your hobbies? I absolutely love shopping, working out, hiking, writing, reading, eating, dancing, target shooting, and traveling.
Are you involved in any student organizations? I am currently involved in Kappa Delta Pi, Student Government Association, Texas Classroom Teacher Association, and I recently became an orientation leader. I am currently the President of Texas Classroom Teacher Association. I also hold the title of head committee chair for the Ram Family Scholarship Campaign Committee in Student Government.
Do you work on campus? If so, where and what are your responsibilities? Yes, I am currently an orientation leader. My job is to assist incoming Angelo State University students with their academic, social, and cultural transition to the campus community.
What is one piece of advice you would give to help college students succeed? Remember to take breaks during study sessions.
