Information for:

A Very Tasty Expansion

June 24, 2016

“I was glad to be able to work with Peggy on the expansion.  Her vast knowledge enabled us to make accurate projections for our new location.  We are thankful to have her as a contact to rely on for information and assistance in this project.”

Alex Gonzales is passionate about the restaurant business.  He is so passionate that when he began looking at expanding his business, he wanted to move into the iconic building and location of The Sunshine Café on Main Street.  Once again, he approached Angelo State University Small Business Development Center rural advisor, Peggy Rosser for assistance.

When Alex initially opened City Sweets, Bakery & Cafe in downtown Junction, Peggy had assisted him with the business plan and financial data.  He again contacted Peggy for assistance with the expansion.  “I was glad to be able to work with Peggy on the expansion.  Her vast knowledge enabled us to make accurate projections for our new location.  We are thankful to have her as a contact to rely on for information and assistance in this project.” Alex stated.

The expansion resulted in the receipt of a grant from the Junction Texas Economic Development Corporation.  Alex also retained 5 jobs from the initial location and added 5 more jobs, contributing to the economic growth of Junction, Texas.

Economic Impact:

  • Business Expansion
  • Grant Funded TEDC
  • 5 Jobs Created
  • 5 Jobs Retained
