Psych Online Master’s Degree Tops in Nation

Angelo State University’s online Master of Science in applied psychology degree program has been ranked No. 1 on the list of the nation’s “Top 10 Online Master’s in Social Psychology 2017-18” by The Best Master’s Degrees education resource guide.
The rankings were formulated using data from the National Center for Education Statistics College Navigator and rankings by U.S. News and World Report and other major publications, as well as by affordability.
ASU was the only Texas institution to have its program ranked by The Best Master’s Degrees. The entire rankings list is available at www.bestmastersdegrees.com/top/online-masters-social-psychology.
Additionally, ASU’s online M.S. in applied psychology has earned a Best Online Master’s in Psychology: Students Before Profits Award for 2018 from Nonprofit Colleges Online, an education resource guide dedicated to connecting students with quality, affordable online programs.
ASU’s program ranked No. 9 in the U.S. among those at only 50 institutions nationwide that received a 2018 Students Before Profits Award. Only programs at accredited, nonprofit colleges and universities were eligible for the rankings, which are based on program quality and affordability.
The only other Texas schools to receive a 2018 Students Before Profits Award for their online master’s in psychology programs were LeTourneau University (No. 13), the University of Texas at Tyler (No. 43) and the University of Houston-Victoria (No. 45). Angelo State’s M.S. in applied psychology program requires 36 credit hours and can be completed totally online or in a hybrid online/classroom format. An undergraduate degree in psychology is not required for admission to the program.
