Our September Russian Enrichment Program Event will host Dr. Katya Severts. 

Dr. Severts is a lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin, teaching courses in Russian language, literature, and culture. Her specialization is Russian and English folklore and literature of the 19th century. She is an author of 11 books about history and culture of the Victorian England. In her talk “The Cultural History of Tea in Russia,” she will talk about how tea became the favorite drink of the Russians and what traditions surround tea-drinking. You will also have a chance to sample different teas and drink them Russian style.
