My Last Business Tips Article
August 28, 2017
This will be my last Business Tips article as I will be retiring August 31st. I have probably written over 100 articles these last 12 years. My first article was November 11, 2005. It was about how your customers can be your friends as well. It is so true. I still miss many of our customers.
Today I would like to tell you what a privilege it is to work for Angelo State University. It is definitely one of the best places to work anywhere. I am a second generation ASU employee as my mother retired from the university years ago.
I would like to recognize all the clients I have counseled, all 1,464 of them. It has been a pleasure working with you. There have been many clients that have been extremely successful, but there have been some not so successful. Either way, it has been an honor to serve you.
I would also like to thank our director, Dave Erickson, for his tireless and fierce loyalty to small business owners and potential owners, as well as the ASU network. The many people I have worked with, advisors, training coordinators, graduate assistants, and interns have been first class. Thanks to all of you. You were so professional, helpful and taught me so much.
The ASU SBDC will continue on without me but know that they will always be here to assist the small business community for years to come. The staff here is dedicated to helping clients with no cost, confidential advising. Please take advantage of their services.
