While at ASU were you involved in any organizations or teams and what was your role? I was Treasurer of the ASU Accounting Society and active at the Catholic Newman Center.
In what ways did ASU help you to achieve your goals after graduation?
ASU provided me with a quality education where I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. I became a CPA, and have worked in a variety of accounting roles, both in public accounting and private accounting.
What skills did you take away from ASU?
In addition to accounting skills learned from my degree, I learned communication and people skills to help me be successful in my career.
Were there any faculty or staff that made a difference for you during your time at ASU? The head of the department, Dr. Penafiel, was instrumental in teaching me all about accounting.
What is one of your fondest memories of ASU?
My fondest memories are the fun times with friends made at ASU. Some of these people have become lifelong friends.
Can you please provide a quote about your experience at ASU/what ASU means to you? I feel that ASU will always be my “RAM FAM”, since I met my husband there, and 2 of my daughters will also be alumni. It is a great place to go to college and I cherish my days at ASU.
