‘Action Figure’ Comedian Coming to ASU

April 17, 2012

Standup comedian Jarrod Harris will bring his “Action Figure Therapy” routine to Angelo State University’s Club Café coffeehouse entertainment series on Wednesday, April 25, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.

Harris will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. in Room 110/111 of the University Center.  ASU student tickets will be $2 and other tickets will be $5.  All tickets will be sold at the door beginning at 7 p.m.  The first 100 audience members to arrive will receive a free Club Café coffee mug, and refreshments will be served.

More than 20 million people have seen Harris’ “Action Figure Therapy” characters, and he was recently named “Top Comic to Watch in 2012” by the LA Weekly newspaper.  He is in the midst of a cross-country tour, and the ASU Club Café is his only Texas performance this spring.

Harris has also appeared on TBS’ “Lopez Tonight” and Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” and performs regularly at The Improvs, Comedy Store and Laugh Factory.
