Cook Helper (Nutrition-Recreation)
Considerable knowledge of sanitation practice, food preparation, cooking, baking, reading recipes and interpreting written cooking instructions. Supervisory skills to include operation food service equipment safely required. Must be able to bend or stoop to retrieve supplies and equipment. Must be able to lift materials weighing 30 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.
Responsible for assisting cook within all functions of the food service daily operation to include but not limited to supervision the permeation of cooking, baking, and distribution of meals. Assume the cook’s duties in the absence of cook. Assist in producing a quality meal. Assist in ordering of food and supplies; performs subsistence inventories. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment. Maintain cost control.
30 hrs/wk Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 1:00pm.
