Blackboard: Saving time for students
October 10, 2018
Angelo State University utilizes the learning management system, Blackboard. Blackboard helps faculty manage content, personalize courses, foster collaboration, and connect with learners. Students can find their course syllabi, instructor information, and much more online. Each semester, courses are available to students two business days prior to the start of the semester. This allows students to prepare for the first day of class while seeing some of their course content.
In Blackboard, students will also find information about their course syllabi. The syllabi are located in all courses under CV and Syllabus. There are many products linked inside of Blackboard, such as Respondus LockDown Browser for online exams, textbook information, and TurnItIn assignments (plagiarism detection software).
Students can learn more about these tools by taking our online Blackboard Help for Students Course. This is located on the Home tab inside of Blackboard, under My Courses. This course offers students a chance to practice with all tools they may encounter in their academic courses. They can even take practice exams!
Students can call the IT Service Center at 325-942-2911 for assistance with their Blackboard courses. The Service Center is open 24x7x365 CST.
