How did you learn about ASU?
I learned about ASU from a high school teacher. One of my favorite professor told about Angelo State University so I decided to take a look at ASU.
Why did you want to attend ASU?
So I came to ASU for a tour and I loved it! It’s a small campus and everyone is super friendly. Plus it’s super affordable and not too far away from home.
What is your favorite thing about ASU?
Attending all of the social events. My number one favorite social event is the Ram Jam Tailgate. I think it awesome how everyone just come together before the football and just hang out together.
What are some of your hobbies?
I like to be around people a lot, so anytime I can I go and hang with my friends. Oh also I love to watch movie and the fact that the movie theater in San Angelo is cheaper than the ones back at home, I think I pretty much go to the movie theater at least once every two week.
Are you involved in any student organizations?
No I am not involved in any student organization.
Do you work on campus? If so, where and what are your responsibilities?
Yes I do work on campus. I am a Resident Assistant. A Resident Assistant (RA) helps adjustment of students to the residence hall and University. The RA develops a sense of community among residents as members of a floor and residents of a hall. I also make sure the building is secure and safe for the residents. Other responsibilities is to be there for my residents when they need help for example, guiding them to school resources and on campus resources that can help them out. I also put on programs for them.
What is one piece of advice you would give to help college students succeed?
Mastering time management is one of the most essential tools at being successful in college. This might be hard to achieve because of the various engagements everyone is faced while in college but irrespective of other peripheral functionalities, being able to control and manage your time effectively will surely help you succeed in college.
