How did you learn about ASU?
Two of my teachers from high school graduated from ASU and they always talked how great it was.
Why did you want to attend ASU?
I wanted to attend ASU because it was not far from home. But when I came to orientation I really liked the size of the school and especially liked how everyone here is so friendly and welcoming.
What is your favorite thing about ASU?
My favorite thing about ASU are the student organizations. I have met the greatest people because I got involved on campus. I strongly suggest for everyone to join at least one student organization on campus because for me I’ve made friendships that will last a lifetime.
What are some of your hobbies?
I love hanging out with family and friends, take photos, read a classic novel, and write.
Are you involved in any student organizations?
Yes, I am an officer for the Association of Mexican-American Students (AMAS) since my freshman year and Delta Sigma Pi.
Do you work on campus? If so, where and what are your responsibilities?
I currently do not work on campus but I did work as a staff writer for the ASU newspaper and also worked as the marketing assistant for the Career Development.
What is one piece of advice you would give to help college students succeed?
Get involved on campus. Don’t spend your entire college life in your dorm. Get out there and interact and create connections. Once you create a family of friends here on campus it will make classes and tests less stressful. Also, be good at managing your time. And most importantly choose your major wisely.
