Angus Cattle Show Team Triumphs at Houston Livestock Show

Angelo State University’s Registered Angus Program brought home a host of awards, including two championships, after showing its cattle on Feb. 28 at the 2019 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Herdsmanship encompasses all elements of a show team, including the cattle presentations and how well the showers represent their program.

ASU students who showed the Registered Angus Program cattle at the Houston Livestock Show were:

  • Wesley Rogge of Hondo
  • Mark Zoeller of Boerne

Their teammates who helped raise the cattle and prepare them for show include:

The Registered Angus Program is a competitive student team in the ASU Agriculture Department. It is directed by Dr. Chase Runyan, assistant professor, and Audrey Zoeller, instructor of animal science.
