Angelo State University’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts will present its 2019 International Art Exchange Exhibition, beginning Monday, Nov. 11, in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.
Displayed in the EFA Building’s Gallery 193, the exhibit will remain open for free public viewing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 22. The exhibit showcases graphic design works created by students and faculty in the College of Architecture and Fine Arts at Duy Tan University in Da Nang, Vietnam. Works on display will include logos, branding, magazines, posters, illustrations, collateral materials, packaging and advertising mockups.
ASU will also host a special opening reception for the exhibit on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m. in Gallery 193. The reception is open free to the public and will include a presentation by the ASU Center for International Studies, presentations and performances by students in the ASU Vietnamese Students Association, and a Vietnam cultural presentation.
This collaborative program between ASU and Duy Tan University is designed to bring art together and promote an academic venture between the two universities while also serving the global community through graphic design and art appreciation.
Duy Tan University is the oldest and largest private, multidisciplinary and diversified institution in Central Vietnam and has over 70,000 students enrolled in graduate, undergraduate and vocational programs.
