Please give us a little bit of your background, your hobbies, what you like to do you in your spare time, etc.

I am a Software Engineer who enjoys bringing new ideas to life. In my spare time, I am constantly coding, learning new technology/languages, and creating web sites.

What is your current occupation?

I am currently a Software Engineer at Ping Identity.

While at ASU were you involved in any organizations or teams and what was your role?

I was very active at ASU. During my freshman year, I participated in AFROTC. Sophomore year I began to get involved with Residence Life where I was a Desk Assistant and eventually became a Resident Assistant in my junior and senior years. I also joined Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity to network with other students that were pursuing their career in business and management information systems.

In what ways did ASU help you to achieve your goals after graduation?

Being active in college helped me easily adapt to working a full-time job. In college, I wore many hats and met various walks of life of students. Currently, at my job, I work within teams and sometimes individuals on projects. ASU helped me adapt to many work environments.

Also, ASU helped me land my 1st career job which was working for the US government Department of Homeland Security USCIS. It started out as an internship initially but after graduating from ASU I was offered a full-time position.

What skills did you take away from ASU?

Networking, hard work, being active, speaking in public settings. I was never comfortable but I always found myself speaking at events at ASU. ASU gave me the platform to improve my speaking skills.

Were there any faculty or staff that made a difference for you during your time at ASU?

Robb Reynolds, while being in AFROTC at the time Major Reynolds showcased a lot of leadership. I’ve always found myself trying to mimic some of his leadership skills and even to this day, I carry some of the things he shared with me while being in the program.
