ASU Art Exhibit Focuses on Sexual Assault Awareness

Angelo State University’s Zeta Phi chapter of the Kappa Pi international art fraternity is sponsoring a special exhibit for Sexual Assault Awareness month through Saturday, April 30.

The exhibit, “Healing Happens When Understanding Happens,” is open free to the public in Room 225 of the ASU Porter Henderson Library, 2025 S. Johnson St. Room 225 is in the back of the second floor along the east wall. The artwork can be viewed during the library’s regular hours, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m.-2 a.m., Fridays from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m.-midnight.

Art for the exhibit deals with sexual assault, domestic partner violence, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and pieces that were created by artists dealing with traumatic events.
