Student Assistant - Catalog Department
Must be able to type (accurately at 30 WPM) and also be computer knowledgeable. Other related duties as required or assigned. Must be dependable and possess the ability to read and write English fluently. Position requires full range of motion including but not limited to standing, sitting, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling book carts weighing up to 300 pounds, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Primary responsibilities include processing cataloged books, typing and applying spine labels, barcoding, stamping, etc. Assists with some data entry and bibliographic searching of library computer systems. Retrieves books from stacks as needed. Assists with withdrawal of outdated materials. May be required to go to other offices on campus to pick up or deliver materials.
Up to 15 hrs/wk
Undergraduate- $8.25/hr Graduate- $8.95
