ASU Jazz Ensemble to Perform Fall Concert

Angelo State University’s Jazz Ensemble will present a concert featuring songs from contemporary artists and composers on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in the ASU Auditorium.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is open free to the public.  The Auditorium is located in the Sol Mayer Administration Building, 2601 W. Ave. N.

Musical selections will include “Early Afternoon Blues” by Chick Corea; “Got to Get You Into My Life” by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; “Always and Forever” by Pat Metheny; “I Wish” by Stevie Wonder; “Joshua” by Victor Feldman and Miles Davis; “Land of Make Believe” by Chuck Mangione; “A Night in Tunisia” by Dizzy Gillespie and Frank Paparelli; “Too High” by Stevie Wonder; “Maria” by Leonard Bernstein; and “Better Git Hit in Your Soul” by Charles Mingus.

The Jazz Ensemble is directed by Dr. Tim Bonenfant, ASU associate professor of music.
