Student Assistant-Access Services

Qualifications/Duties

This is NOT a Work Study position.  

Tasks range from working at the Circulation and Media desks to shelving and shifting books, answering phones and working on special projects.  Requires ability to perform procedures of moderate difficulty, and learn Library policies and procedures.  

 

Dependable and dedicated student who can work up to 20 hours per week.  This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, people skills, public service commitment, and personal reliability. 

The nature of the work requires visual acuity, full range of motion including but not limited to standing, sitting, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling book carts weighing up to 300 pounds, and lifting up to 30 pounds. 

NOTE:  Must be available for in person interview, to take place NLT the week of  January 7-11

Days/Times

Approximately 15 - 20 hours per week, including some weekend and evening hours.  Evening hours will include at least one night per week until midnight or 2:00am in Fall/Spring semesters.

Salary

Undergraduate-$8.25  Graduate-$8.95
