ASU Fall Graduation Set for Dec. 15

Graduates of the College of Education and the College of Health and Human Services will walk across the stage during a 10 a.m. ceremony. Graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences and College of Business will walk the stage in a 2 p.m. ceremony. All of ASU’s commencement activities are open free to the public.
During ASU’s commencement, 105 master’s degrees, 341 bachelor’s degrees and 76 associate degrees are scheduled to be presented. Graduate students will earn 22 master of arts, 46 master of education, nine master of business administration, two master of accountancy, 10 master of science in nursing 14 master of science and two master of security studies degrees.
Undergraduates will receive 83 bachelor of arts, 45 bachelor of business administration, five bachelor of fine arts, 16 bachelor of interdisciplinary studies, five bachelor of music, 136 bachelor of science, 50 bachelor of science in nursing, one bachelor of cultural fluency and security studies, and 76 associate of applied science in nursing degrees.
The commencement speaker will be ASU alumnus A. Mario Castillo, founder and president of The Aegis Group, a prominent government lobbying and public relations firm in Washington, D.C. He leads a diverse team of bipartisan political and legislative professionals representing clients in a variety of industries, including food commodities, pharmaceuticals, retail, travel and tourism. He also serves on the Texas Small Business Industrial Development Corporation and the Texas Historical Commission. The U.S. Congressional Hispanic Caucus has designated him as one of the “Top 25 Hispanic Leaders in the U.S.”
On a related note, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, the ASU Alumni Association will host a party for all graduates, alumni and their families and friends in the LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center, 1620 University Ave.
