Healthy Communities Coordinator - Recreation
Under general supervision will create and maintain the Fit City webpage. Will assist with event advertising, both on webpage and through other advertising methods; assists in promotion and enforcement of Fit City events, rules, regulations and safety standards. Must respond to inquiries from the public about the webpage and advertised events. Will provide basic recreation programming information to participants and the public. Will assist in cleaning and maintaining general appearance of assigned areas for events. Will carry out administrative duties such as maintaining basic attendance and participant records; collect and record event fees; maintain inventory of supplies and materials.
Considerable knowledge of website administration and maintenance. Experience in advertising preferred. Must be skilled in performing a variety of technical and clerical tasks. Will be required to conduct independent research as it applies to Fit City events and programs. Must be organized and have good knowledge of general office practices and procedures. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff, City departments, outside agencies, community groups, and the general public. Subject to sitting, standing walking, bending, reaching and lifting objects up to 30 pounds. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
20 hours weekly; hours may vary. TEMPORARY POSITION - Position will be eliminated after 9 months or funding has been exhausted.
