ASU to Host Hawaiian Event

In commemoration of April as Asian-Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Angelo State University’s Multicultural Center will host an outdoor Polynesian/Hawaiian Celebration on Tuesday, April 23, next to the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.

The celebration will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the open area between the University Center and the Porter Henderson Library, and is open free to the public.  Activities will include Hawaiian cultural games, refreshments and entertainment provided by Tropical Productions.  Members will perform traditional Hawaiian drumming, dancing, chanting and music.

ASU’s University Center Program Council is co-sponsoring the event.
