This position will provide assistance and support to the Veterans Educational and Transitional Services (VETS) Center and assist in the daily operations of the office. Applicants for this position must be self-motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and trustworthy. Position requires professional mannerism, proficient computer skills, excellent telephone etiquette, and the ability to communicate and listen effectively.  Duties and responsibilities include:

Provide information to Veterans and their dependents about the different Veterans benefit programs and the steps to utilize them.

Assist the Veterans Outreach Coordinator with programs, outreach and a needs assessment to determine the support needed for Veterans and their families.

Support student Veterans and their families as they prepare to enroll or are enrolled in classes.

Connect student Veterans and their families with resources on and off campus to aid with the transition from military to civilian to campus life.

Assist patrons of the VETS Center to become successful students both academically and socially.

Market the services and existence of the VETS Center to the ASU Campus and service area.

Perform other duties as assigned.


20 hours per week.
