ASU to Exhibit Alum’s Artwork

January 06, 2014

Angelo State University will present an exhibit of prints, drawings and sculpture by alumnus Adam Palmer beginning Jan. 13 in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.

The exhibit, titled “Repairing Piñatas,” will be housed in the EFA Building’s Gallery 193 and will be open for free public viewing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Feb. 13.

Since earning a Master of Fine Arts from the University of North Texas in 2011, Palmer has taught art in higher education throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.  His work, which explores mass media imagery through saturated colors and well-ordered compositions, has been exhibited at shows across the Metroplex as well as nationally.

For more information on the ASU exhibit, call John Vinklarek, professor of art, at 325-486-6023 or the ASU Department of Visual and Performing Arts at 325-942-2085.
