Picture Party on January 8

January 08, 2014

Help us put names to faces! Do you know anyone who was living in San Angelo during the ‘70s or ‘80s? We’re throwing a party and hoping you will help us identify people in photos from the ’70s and ’80s from the Standard-Times and the West Texas Collection.

Help us put names to faces! Do you know anyone who was living in San Angelo during the ‘70s or ‘80s? We’re throwing a party and hoping you will help us identify people in photos from the ’70s and ’80s from the Standard-Times and the West Texas Collection. Sponsored by the Friends of the Porter Henderson Library and the West Texas Collection, the party will feature light refreshments, more than 500 photos for inspection, and exhibits on the history of the San Angelo Standard-Times, the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, the area’s sheep and wool industry, and the history of Shannon Hospital.

The event is free to the public and will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on January 8 in the C.J. Davidson Conference Center in the Houston Harte University Center. For additional information, contact the West Texas Collection at 942-2164.

Join us in preserving San Angelo history!
