ASU Events to Recognize Native American Month
November 15, 2010
A Native American Celebration will run from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 18 in the central spine of the University Center and is open free to the public. Activities will include traditional Native American food and music as well as other entertainment.
The public is also invited to attend the latest installment in the Multicultural Center Movie Series, “Native American Religions,” at 6 p.m. Nov. 18 in Room 110/111 of the University Center. The 30-minute movie will be followed by a short panel discussion. Light refreshments will also be served at this free event.
November was first declared Native American Heritage Month in 1990 by President George H.W. Bush. The ASU events are also part of the university’s observance of International Education Week.
