Comedian T.J. Miller to Play ASU’s Club Cafe

Comedian T.J. Miller will perform his standup routine for the final fall installment of Angelo State University’s Club Café coffeehouse entertainment series on Wednesday, Nov. 17, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.

The 7:30 p.m. performance will be in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center.

ASU student tickets will be presold Wednesday-Friday, Nov. 10-12, for $2. Beginning Monday, Nov. 15, through 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, tickets will be available to the public for $5. Any remaining tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis at the door.

The first 100 audience members to arrive at the show will receive a free Club Café coffee mug. Coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, cookies, brownies and other refreshments will be served.

Miller was selected as a new face in the 2007 HBO special, “Aspen Comedy Arts Festival.” He was also chosen as one of Variety’s Top 10 Comics to Watch in 2008 and one of Entertainment Weekly’s 12 Rising Stars of Comedy. In addition to his standup routines, Miller has also appeared in numerous films, including the upcoming “Unstoppable.” He also appeared as Marmaduke Brooker in the TV series “Carpoolers,” starred in “She’s Out of My League” as Stainer and played Tuffnut in the movie “How to Train Your Dragon.”
