ASU Club Café to Feature Singer/Songwriter

Nozuka’s performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center. ASU student tickets will be $2, and general public tickets will $5 at the door. The first 100 audience members to arrive will receive a free Club Café coffee mug. Coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, cookies, brownies and other refreshments will be served.
Born in New York and raised in Canada, Nozuka has released two self-produced albums featuring his distinctive folk-acoustic, alternative and soul creations. His 2007 debut album, “Holly,” was named after his mother. “You I Wind Land and Sea” was released in 2010 to positive reviews and debuted at No. 118 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart.
The commercial and critical success of “Holly” earned Nozuka a 2008 Juno Award nomination in the New Artist of the Year category. He was also a 2011 Juno Award nominee for Adult Alternative Artist of the Year. Juno Awards are presented annually by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
Besides touring widely in the United States and Canada, Nozuka has performed in Europe, Africa and Australia. His television credits include “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Good Morning America NOW” and VH1’s “You Oughta Know.” He is also a sensation on YouTube, with his lead single “After Tonight” drawing over 9.4 million views and four others topping a million views each.
