ASU Faculty/Staff Service Awards

Fifty Angelo State University faculty and staff, including 13 with a quarter century or more employment with the university, were honored with Service Awards during ceremonies on Monday, April 14, in the Houston Harte University Center on the ASU campus.

ASU President Brian J. May thanked the honorees for their loyalty and dedication to ASU and presented all with awards representing their years of service to the university.

Receiving a 40-Year Service Award was Arnoldo De León, History.

Receiving 35-Year Service Awards were Crosby W. Jones, Biology; Colegate V. Spinks, Information Technology; Ned E. Strenth, Biology; and Edward C. Surface, Visual and Performing Arts.

Awards for 30 years of service went to Leslie M. Mayrand, College of Health and Human Services; and Molly J. Walker, Nursing and Rehabilitation Sciences.

Recipients of 25-Year Service Awards were Tommy F. Badgett, Management and Marketing; Robert C. Dowler, Biology; Ralph Garcia, Facilities Management; Roberto M. Garza, Political Science and Philosophy; Ellen M. Moreland, Mathematics; and Audrey D. Wilson, Student Services.

The 20-Year Service Awards went to William B. Davidson, Psychology, Sociology and Social Work; Richard W. Elliott, Facilities Management; Joe Muñoz, President’s Office; and James R. Reid, Athletics.

Recipients of 15-Year Service Awards were Faustino G. Aguilar, Information Technology; David L. Bixler, Physics and Geosciences; Jason M. Brake, Information Technology; Ardie D. Harmon, Facilities Management; Rickey L. Lasly, Financial Aid; Brenda M. Stewart, Academic Affairs; and Paul K. Swets, College of Arts and Sciences.

The 10-Year Service Awards were presented to Jaxine Boling, Visual and Performing Arts; Rosalinda R. Castro, Registrar’s Office; Sylvia Davila, Library; Michael D. DeCelles, Accounting, Economics and Finance; Michael T. Dixon, Biology; Noe Fernandez, Facilities Management; Catarino S. Galvan, Facilities Management; Brian S. Hatch, University Police; Roseann M. Hester, Nursing and Rehabilitation Sciences; Jason W. Hord, Information Technology; Richard D. Jones, Freshman College; Seth E. Lacy, Central Receiving/Supply; Sharon B. Lee, University Recreation; Stuart Lickteig, Housing and Residential Programs; and Jessica A. Manning, Special Events.
