Final Discover ASU Event of the Spring

Angelo State University will welcome prospective students and their families to campus on Saturday, March 27, for “Discover ASU,” a day-long program designed to acquaint potential enrollees with the university and its numerous educational opportunities.

Discover ASU allows prospective students to visit campus and see what Angelo State has to offer in academic programs, facilities and opportunities for intellectual and personal growth.

Activities will begin with check-in at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Junell Center/Stephens Arena, 2235 S. Jackson St. The general welcome session will begin at 10 a.m. to be followed at 11 a.m. by informational sessions covering admissions, how to select a major and Getting Involved at ASU. There will also be sessions on pre-health professions, the pre-veterinary medicine program, the teacher education program, Air Force ROTC, the Studio I student drama group and the Honors Program.

Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m. followed by a student organization and academic department fair from 12:30-2 p.m. in the Houston Harte University Center and campus tours from 12:30-3 p.m. A free astronomy show, “Mars Quest,” in the ASU Planetarium is scheduled at 2 p.m.
