ASU Woodwind Groups to Play Spring Concert

Several Angelo State University woodwind groups will present the Woodwind Chamber Ensemble’s Spring Concert on Monday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Eldon Black Recital Hall.

The concert, inside the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, is open free to the public. It will include the Flute Choir, the Clarinet Choir and the Woodwind Quintet, directed by Dr. Constance Kelley, Dr. Jeff Womack and Dr. Tim Bonenfant.

The Clarinet Choir will perform an original arrangement by one of its members along with retired ASU professor Fred Wilson, while Bonenfant will play a duet with one of his saxophone students.

Composers whose works are on the program include Allesandro Scarlatti, Catherine McMichael, Tielman Susato, Maurice Ravel, William Byrd, Claudio Monteverdi, Aubert Lemeland and Malcolm Arnold.
