Dr. Andrew Geyer

Author Andrew Geyer visited ASU on September 3, sponsored by the Department of English and Modern Languages. A Texan by birth, Geyer currently teaches at the University of South Carolina-Aiken. His books include the co-authored Texas Five X 5: Twenty-five Stories by Five Texas Writers; the novel Dixie Fish; the story cycle Siren Songs from the Heart of Austin; the novel Meeting the Dead; and the story cycle Whispers in Dust and Bone, which won both the silver medal for short fiction in the Foreword Magazine Book of the Year Awards and the Spur Award from the Western Writers of America. He has also been named a Breakthrough Rising Star by the University of South Carolina system. If you’d like additional information about him or his books, visit
