New Teacher Education Chair

Dr. Kimberly Dickerson, until recently a project manager for the Austin-based Texas Center for Educator Effectiveness (TxCEE), has been named an associate professor and the new chair of Angelo State University’s Department of Teacher Education, effective July 6.

Dr. Kimberley Dickerson Dr. Kimberley Dickerson At TxCEE, Dickerson participated in creating and presenting professional development programs to teachers and administrators at public school districts across Texas. Prior to joining TxCEE, she was an associate professor and interim chair of teacher education and elementary education at Southern University at New Orleans.

A native of League City, Dickerson earned her doctorate in educational administration at Texas A&M University. She has a master’s degree in educational management and a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
