First-Time Student Admission Requirements

Start your journey with the Ram Family in four easy steps:

  1. Complete an application through ApplyTexas.

You must be admitted to Angelo State to have access to our over 600 scholarship opportunities. If you are admitted after the priority deadline(s), you will be considered for scholarships to the extent funds are available.

General Scholarship Priority Deadline: Jan. 15
Distinguished Scholarship Priority Deadline: April 1
  2. Pay your $50 non-refundable application fee.

You can pay your application fee on ApplyTexas, or through RamPort, our portal. You can set up and access your RamPort account here. Fee waivers are available for qualifying students.

  3. Submit your high school transcript and other required documents.

    High School Transcripts
Your transcript should include your class rank and diploma type. Please do not submit your transcripts via email. Request your high school send your transcript directly to us through TREx (which we strongly encourage), or they can be sent via mail to:

    ASU Station #11014
    San Angelo, TX 76909

    Other Required Documents
You may need to submit additional documents. Please view our admission requirements for more information.

  4. Submit your ACT/SAT scores OR indicate you are test optional.

If you have already taken the ACT or SAT or plan to take either test, we encourage you to submit your scores to us.

    • Submit your ACT/SAT Scores: Sign in to your MyACT or College Board account and request your Official Score Report be sent to ASU.

    • If you would like to download your own copy of your Official Scores Report, you can upload it through our Secure Document Submissions Form. Please be sure that the report you submit does not state they are “Unofficial Scores.”

If you want to be considered for admission without your test scores, you must indicate this on your application. Learn more about ASU’s test optional policy.
