I am a retired acting/directing professor of theatre from Texas Tech University. Professionally I have worked at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego (Tony Award) The Bowery Theatre, American Southwest Theatre Company, Lubbock Community Theatre, The Anderson Model and Talent Agency, Ballet Lubbock and Moonlight Musicals, among many others. I have won numerous awards for directing, production, and design from the Kennedy Center, where I also serve as a respondent.
As a 20-year + judge, my focus is always about the passion for the entire process of storytelling via theatre, but primarily on acting, based on my training and practice in the methods of Stanislavsky as taught by Richard Boleslavsky and Vevgeny Vakhtangov, along with the Meisner Method and Annie Bogart’s Viewpoints.
