Phillip Morgan

Mr. Morgan is humbled to serve as an adjudicator for today’s one-act play contest. He has served as a student competitor, teacher, department chair, playwright, clinician, college instructor and K-12 administrator for fine arts programs.

Mr. Morgan is a lifetime member of TTAO and believes in giving back to the UIL OAP contest and is honored to serve its students. Phillip holds degrees in Theatre Arts (A.A. & B.F.A.), Business Communications (M.A.), and is currently in dissertation for his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.

In his TTAO career, Mr. Morgan has judged multiple District, Bi-District, Area and Region level contests and has been honored to adjudicate the State One-Act Play contest two times (2015 - AA & 2016 - A). Mr. Morgan is honored to have learned his love of the theater and the UIL system under his mentor, professor and friend, Ray Karrer, of Paris Junior College. Phillip has served two Texas districts as a fine arts administrator for six years and currently serves as the Director of Fine Arts for the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District in Baytown, Texas. He also currently serves TTAO as a officer on the Standards & Practices Committee and as the Chair-Elect for the Texas Theatre Administrators Conference (TTAC).
