Texas-Sized Hall Tree by Dr. Don Topliff
Handmade by our own provost and vice president, Dr. Don Topliff, this Texas sized hall tree is one of a kind! The center pole is Hill Country Cedar. The antlers around it are extremely rare and come from White-Lipped Deer, native to China, found on the Harkey Ranch, south of Christoval. Fewer than 150 of this breed exist in the United States, and the Harkey Ranch maintains the largest herd of White-Lipped deer in North America. These sheds are the first ever released from the ranch for this unique piece only. The tree is topped with antique railroad spikes retrieved from the Rock Island rail line in Western Kansas in the 1960s.
