Dear Dad and all,
I received a letter from you a day or so ago. Really glad to here from you. I am doing O.K.
Is Dwight still going to school? I hope he is.
Say by the way, a little bird told me you had remarried. It surprised me a lot in a way and again it didn’t. Why in the devil didn’t you tell your little boy? Who was the lady? Any one I know? Here’s my congratulations.
Guess who got I letter from. Jewell McDougle. The son-of-a-gun has been right along side me most of the way and I didn’t know it. He is doing O.K. Is Mr. Kirksey still on his place? I guess the old buger is as lazy as ever.
I am still writing left handed but it won’t be long till I’ll be able to write with my right again.
Well, write when you can.
Lots of Love,
Howard
