Have any of your family members attended Angelo State?
What was your most memorable experience in high school?
I have been involved with leadership in my school, from clubs to student government, and that has translated into my community. I progressed from a dressage student to a tack cleaner to an equine trainer in around a year, and the community that supported me in my equestrian endeavors I consider my second family.
What attracted you to Angelo State?
Angelo’s honors program corresponded with my liberal arts bent, and interacting and researching personally with professors is a huge draw for an upcoming veterinary student.
Why did you choose Angelo State?
I met with honors students and the professors I would be working with, explored the dorms and campus, and spoke with academic advisors to ascertain whether Angelo could launch me into veterinary school. Needless to say, they made a good case.
What are your top three bucket list activities to accomplish during your first year at ASU?
1. Find a home church and/or youth group.
2. Get involved (especially with the animal-related programs on campus from the ranch to stray cat wrangling and creative writing opportunities).
3. Begin to plan a study abroad experience with advisors and mentors.
After visiting campus, where do you think will be your favorite hangout spot?
After graduating from Angelo State, I see myself:
Share a fun fact about you for your Ram Family to get to know you.
I visited Switzerland and was enthused (until an entire, four-foot, double-paned window fell on me). When I turned sixteen, I treated myself to a life-sized replica of the sword Glamdring from The Lord of the Rings. I was librarian of Comic Book Club last year. (Can you tell I am indecisive?)
