Curriculum and Instruction-Teacher Studies (M.A.)
The M.A. in curriculum and instruction for teacher studies program is designed to offer opportunities to develop expertise in effective pedagogy, curriculum development, instructional strategies, assessment and data analysis, and learner development in preparation for professional teaching positions.
All courses offered in the program are delivered through an online format for the convenience of the candidate.

Other work settings for graduates include educational service centers, state department of education offices and community college administration offices.
We offer eight-week courses that are 100 percent online, allowing students to complete the program in less than two years.
Five 8-week terms per academic year
We stress personal contact and advising. All our faculty are available to meet with students as needed.

- Overall undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or better OR at least a 2.75 GPA for the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate work

EDG 5361 must be taken twice for credit. To be eligible to take EDG 5361, the student must have a passing score on the appropriate TExES subject area test and 30 hours of classroom observation.
As a summative requirement for the degree, the candidate must successfully complete a comprehensive program review (CPR) with a committee of Graduate Faculty.

Carr Academic Graduate Scholarships are ASU’s premier scholarships for graduate students. Awards are based on undergraduate GPA. Students are considered for the Carr Academic Graduate Scholarship upon their acceptance into the College of Graduate Studies and Research. No application is required.
