Transcript Requests

Academic Record

Transcripts contain confidential information, and they are only released in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974.

A transcript is a comprehensive record of your academic work. It will include total hours transferred to Angelo State University, hours earned by exam and any degrees you have been awarded by ASU. Each transcript is printed on security paper to prevent copying, and the document includes the seal of the university and the signature of the university registrar.

The Registrar’s Office will issue only ASU transcripts. ASU cannot issue transcripts from other institutions. Transcripts from other schools must be ordered from the original source. You may request a transcript in person by coming to the Registrar’s Office in Room 200 of the Hardeman Building and completing the Transcript Request Form. Copies of transcripts for personal use follow the same policies as those used for transfer of information to other institutions, employers or prospective employers, or other entities requiring student academic information.

Transcripts can now be ordered via the internet 24/7 through Parchment. There is no charge by ASU for transcripts, but a processing fee does apply. You can place as many orders as you like in one session using any major credit card. Your card will be charged when your order has been placed. Order updates will be sent to you via email or text. You can also track your order online using Self-Service Plus by following the link in your confirmation email.


ASU does not charge for the first 60 transcripts requested during your lifetime. This includes requests by former students. Each transcript beyond the 60 will be assessed a $3 fee for both current and former students. Orders made online through Parchment will incur a minimal processing fee.

Turn-Around Time

Transcripts are normally processed within two business days upon receipt of a request. During peak times, such as registration and/or graduation, please allow additional time for the processing of your request.

The Registrar’s Office can only honor a request for express mailing by Domestic Federal Express services to the main 48 states on orders placed online through Parchment. FedEx Delivery can also be used by Domestic Express to Alaska and Hawaii. International FedEx is also available. Keep in mind that a signature is required at time of delivery for all Federal Express orders. Packages will not be left on a doorstep. After multiple delivery attempts have been made, your transcript package will be returned to Angelo State University. Please note that the Federal Express fee will not be refunded if the package is returned and then sent via 1st Class Mail because a signature could not be obtained. Be aware that some locations require 2 days for Federal Express delivery. The Registrar’s Office will not offer Federal Express Saturday, Sunday, or Holiday delivery. Students requiring express mail or courier service may also pick up the sealed copy of their official transcript and make their own arrangements for such service.


If there is a hold on your record that prevents you from receiving a transcript, you will be notified that your transcript was not sent due to a hold on your record. The office that placed the hold will be listed on the receipt. You must contact the office listed to have the hold removed. If a hold is not removed and transcript is not sent, you will receive a refund/credit back to you. The request will be deleted from the system after 10 days if holds remains on your record.
