Withdrawal from the university is defined as leaving the university for the remainder of the semester and being officially removed from all classes. Students must submit the Student Withdrawal Form to complete the withdrawal process. Students who do not complete the process by the appropriate deadline will be assigned a grade in each of their classes. All deadlines for withdrawing refer to the close of business, which is 5:00 p.m. CST. Students officially withdrawing from the university may be eligible for a refund of tuition and fees according to the Refund Policy.
Financial Aid Recipients withdrawing from the university who have previously received disbursed aid may incur a debt to the university.
The Withdrawal Process
A request for withdrawal from the University must be submitted online using the Student Withdrawal Form.
Before the Beginning of the Semester
- Complete the online Student Withdrawal Form
Please note: If you do not plan to attend, it is your responsibility to notify us by 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time of the last business day before classes begin of your request to withdraw. Requests received after 5:00 p.m. will be processed on the next business day and you will be liable for any charges incurred.

After the Beginning of the Semester
All of the steps must be completed to be withdrawn from the university. Please see the Academic Calendar for drop/withdrawal deadlines.
