Proficiency Profile Inventory
What is the Proficiency Profile Inventory (PPI) test?
The Proficiency Profile Inventory (PPI) is offered every other year as part of Angelo State University’s effort to insure that student learning is successful. This one hour test covers basic literacy, communication, and quantitative knowledge and skills in multiple-choice format.
Participation is voluntary and scores on the PPI have NO effect on degree progress, GPA, or any other personal academic measure. Student data is treated as part of a large group, and at no time are scores linked to the student, singled out for analysis, or used for diagnosis.
Angelo State University greatly values student participation.
The Proficiency Profile Inventory can be taken at home on a personal computer or in the ASU Testing Center. Students who wish to take the Proficiency Profile Inventory in the ASU Testing Center should complete and submit the registration form on this page. Dates and times for testing are listed below.
