Texas Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)

The TEAS is an examination designed to measure reading comprehension, English skills (such as grammar and punctuation), reading rate, basic math skills and science knowledge.  TEAS is the required entrance exam for the ASU nursing program, as well as a required entrance exam for Nursing programs at numerous colleges/universities. 


Students register and pay for the TEAS online at ATI Testing.

TEAS will be proctored two ways:

  1. In-Person (in the ASU Testing Center), or
  2. Online (with the ASU Testing Center).

When registering for “In-Person” test option: PROGRAM TYPE = TEAS for Nursing Students; SEARCH BY = School Name; STATE = TX; SCHOOL = Angelo State U. Register for the date you wish to test.

When registering for “Online” test option:TEAS PROCTOR-PROGRAM TYPE = Institution Remote Proctor-Nursing; STATE/INSTITUTION = TX and Angelo State U TEAS. Register for the date you wish to test.
