Department of Social Work
Social workers are licensed professionals who help people of all ages and backgrounds solve problems encountered in life.
In our department, you will learn the skills and values needed to engage in competent and ethical social work practice.
Degrees
Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W.)
This degree will prepare you for licensure as a Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW). All students have the option of completing this degree on campus or totally online.
We also offer a Minor in Social Work.
Master of Social Work (M.S.W.)
This degree prepares you for advanced social work practice in the healthcare, mental health and education fields. All students have the option of completing this degree on campus or totally online.

Accreditation
Our B.S.W. degree program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), our M.S.W. degree program holds CSWE Candidacy Status, and the D.S.W. degree program will seek CSWE accreditation when available.

Study Abroad
Participate in our annual summer study abroad program where you’ll travel across Europe. Visit partner universities in the Netherlands, meet with professionals in the Czech Republic, and work with the Ronald McDonald Foundation in Bucharest, Romania.
