Admissions Process

B.S.W. Field Education

A key component of Angelo State University’s Bachelors of Social Work (B.S.W.) is the field education experience. The purpose of field education is to provide opportunities for students to apply social work knowledge, skills, values, and cognitive and effective processes learned in the classroom to real-life situations with clients “in the field”. Students are supervised by a professional social worker or related degree individual in the field agency (the Field Instructor) and by field faculty (Field Education Liaison and Field Education Director) at the University.
