Free Market Institute

Our branch of the Texas Tech University Free Market Institute helps us develop our teaching and research in economics to make sure our curriculum stays on the cutting edge. It also brings in prominent economists from across the country for special presentations. You’ll get to network with some of the top economic minds in the U.S.

Hands-On Learning

You can engage with professionals at local businesses, firms and nonprofit agencies through our internship and shadowing programs. You can also participate in our McLane Teammates Reading Program and delve into current economic topics. It could lead to a $1,000 scholarship! These types of experiences will give you an advantage when it comes to applying for jobs or for graduate school.

International Studies

You can gain a global perspective of business and economics on our annual summer study abroad trip to Europe. You’ll visit cities in Austria, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Slovakia and Spain that host numerous multinational corporations and other international organizations. You’ll also get to visit various historical sites to truly broaden your horizons.
