Post-Baccalaureate Healthcare Management Certificate
Our 12 credit-hour Post- Baccalaureate Healthcare Management Certificate is designed for professionals seeking to advance in the healthcare industry. The certificate focuses on expanding knowledge about issues regarding ethics, healthcare finance, operations and healthcare communications. Expand your career opportunities, while learning to improve practices and procedures in the healthcare industry from healthcare experts.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with an overall GPA of 2.5 or better, or a GPA of 2.5 or better for the last 60 hours of undergraduate work . In addition to submitting official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, applicants must provide a copy of a current professional résumé and two letter of recommendation.
We also ask that you provide two references according to the following guidelines:
1. At least one reference must be from academic sources, preferably faculty with whom you have worked closely.
2. The second reference may be non-academic, but should be someone that can comment on skills and abilities relevant to graduate school. Examples of unacceptable references would be: parents, pastors, friends or peers, relatives, etc.
Students must complete 4 required courses for a total of 12 semester credit hours. The required courses are:
FINC 6304 – Healthcare Financial Management
MGMT 6340 – Healthcare Communications in a Diverse Workplace
MGMT 6341 – Healthcare Operations
MGMT 6343 – Legal and Ethical Aspects of Healthcare
All Healthcare Management courses are offered in the evenings, on the ASU campus using a face-to-face/hybrid delivery mode. These courses are offered in traditional 16-week terms during the Spring and Fall terms.
