Academic Advising & Degree Planning
As an ASU Dual Credit student, we want to see you succeed! If you need help deciding what dual classes are right for you, contact our Dual Credit Academic Advisor.
They can help you determine your best path based on the degree you plan to pursue after high school.
As an ASU student, you have access to our 24/7 online tutoring service. You can access this through your Ramport or login in with your ASU username and password at https://angelo.upswing.io/
In response to the current COVID-19 situation, ASU has moved all of its tutoring services to an online format. They are accessible through Blackboard
The Math Lab (open 2-7 M-F; 4-8 Sunday), Tutor Center (times vary by subject), and SI (times vary by subject) are now live in Blackboard.
- Students who need academic support can log in to Blackboard and go to Academic Services (top tool bar). The Math Lab, Tutor Center, and SI tutors are hosting sessions in Collaborate and students can talk and video chat with ASU tutors.
- Students who need Writing Center help will follow the E-submission guidelines.
- Information about all these academic support services are on the Remote Rams page. The Remote Rams page also includes important information about free books and ebooks and information for students who need internet or increased data in order to complete the semester.
- Students with questions can contact the Freshman College at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You also have access to the ASU Writing Center. Here, you can upload papers to be reviewed before you have to turn them in for an assignment. Log in to Ramport to access it.

Our Career Development Center has resources to assist you with planning out your academic future and Career Exploration. These services are free of charge to our Dual Credit students. Visit their website for more information.
If you are taking online dual credit classes, you will be using Blackboard to access your class. Make sure you are checking in often for announcements and important information.
If you have applied for services due to a medical or learning disability at your high school, you might be eligible to receive services for your dual credit class. Please contact your high school counselor for more information. You can also find more information on our Student Disability Accommodations Page.
Remember that the grades you get in your Dual Credit classes will be reflected on an official Angelo State University transcript. Low grades can result in a probation, suspension, or effect your future Financial Aid, so make sure you are doing well!

Are you interested in becoming a future Ram? ASU Dual Credit students that complete 6 hours of dual credit with a 3.0 GPA will automatically be accepted into ASU. Visit our admissions page to find out more on how to apply and contact your admissions counselor.
