The Department of Mathematics invites you to join us for the Mathematics Seminar.
This week’s presentation will be:
presented by Dr. David Huckaby
Monday, February 13 at 12PM, in MCS 210
Consider the set of all triangles that have one side of length 1 with the other two sides having lengths independently and randomly (uniformly) distributed between 0 and 1. If we randomly select such a triangle, what is the probability the triangle we select is obtuse? A smidgeon of Calculus 2 will be required to fully participate, but most of the talk should be accessible to everyone.
