DPT Admission Stage II
Stage II is the interview at Angelo State University. Once the applicant has had their application processed through PTCAS, it will be reviewed by the DPT Admissions Committee to determine status. If the Committee decides to move an applicant forward, then an invitation from the Physical Therapy Department for interview in either the fall or spring will be sent to the applicant. The applicant must then send an additional $30 processing fee (check or money order made payable to Angelo State University Physical Therapy Program) along with the Stage II Physical Therapy Processing Form to the Physical Therapy Department.
Early Admission qualified applicants will be invited to interview in November with admission decisions delivered by early December at the latest. Deadline for Early Admission is October 3rd. Any applicants who are not denied or scheduled for interview for Early Admission will be rolled to the Traditional Admission process. Any applications received after this time will be considered Traditional or Regular Admission. Traditional Admission qualified applicants will be invited to interview in February or March with admission decisions delivered no later than the end of March. The deadline for Traditional Admission is January 16.
Up to 26 individuals will be recommended to the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Research for admission into the DPT program. Only written notice from the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Research constitutes approval of admission.
*Admission Deposit: Any applicant who is offered a position in our program and accepts will pay a $200 deposit to keep their spot. If the applicant successfully matriculates into the program then the deposit will be refunded after the 20th class day. An applicant who has accepted a position and then must withdraw from the program before matriculation will lose their deposit. Deposit dates TBA
